PLUNKET SOCIETY'S LOSS COUNCIL RESOLUTION [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON. Thursday Feeling reference to the loss suffered bv the society in the death of its founder, Sir Truby King, was made at the half-yearly meeting of the Dominion council of the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children held in Wellington.

"We meet in tbe shadow of the loss the society has suffered in the death of its beloved founder,"' said the president, Mrs. James Begg, "Up to this time the council has been strengthened and sustained by the knowledge that Sir Trubv King was still with us. Even when increasing frailty prevented him from attending personally to give us the benefit of his sure and far-seeing advice, the magic of his name and the memory of his dynamic personality inspired the deliberations of the council. The following resolution was passed: —"We place on record our devotion to the fundamental ideals of the movement as laid down by the late Sir Trubv King. During his long association with the society, extending over 31 years, the late Sir Truby King gave to us his active guidance and much research Avas carried out with the object of perfecting tho Plunket system of feeding. It will be the object of the society to continue this research so that it can at all times be kept abreast of modern developments in this country and abroad. The society is not static, but will continue to develop on the same broad lines which have marked its history so far. We realise our responsibility to the mothers and babies of New Zealand," and it shall be our constant endeavour to see that the trust imposed in us is not misplaced."
