The going was good. Francis Drake (Cosford) ran six furlongs in 1.14. It was a pleasing performance and he is considered to have good prospects in the Thompson Handicap. . Relative (Cavaney) went six furlongs in 1.15 1-5. She worked well and looks in great order. Courtcraft (Cavaney) travelled well throughout a mile in 1.41 1-5. He was brought home the last half-mile by Royal Tinge, who finished slightly in front. Courtcraft has never been better than at present. Royal Tinge, who will have his first race under his new ownership at the .Manawatu meeting, has progressed well of late and is promising, i Aiwai, a gross filly, has improved with recent racing and will be seen out next ;it the .Manawatu meeting. She will probably be a candidate for the I G.N. Oaks at Master.
