RETURNS FOR FEBRUARY Cases of infectious diseases .reported to the Health Department from the Auckland Central health district in February totalled 36, compared with 45 notifications for January. The total included four cases of scarlet fever, two of diphtheria and 13 of pulmonary tuberculosis. Theisfother diseases reported were:—Enteric typhoid fever, 3; erysipelas, 2; puerperal fever, 6; eclampsia, 2; hydatids, 1; food poisoning, 2; bacillary dysentery, 1. In the Thames-Tauranga health district only two cases wero reported, compared with one in January. There was one case each of scarlet fever and diphtheria.
