FINES AT TE KUITI [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] 4 TE KUITI, Wednesday Prosecutions for-failure to clear land of ragwort were heard in the Te Kuiti Magistrate's Court to-day. Fines of 40s and costs were imposed upon the following defendants:—David Henderson, Charles Holden, Robert Holden and Charles Opie. • . A fine of 30s and costs was imposed in respect of James Deeming, for whom a doctor's certificate was produced showing that he was not fit for heavy work. Charges against W. and R. R.. Barrett and Tnku Tane were adjourned.
