SALE OF WORK

WOMEN'S PROGRESS CLUB A "bring-and-buy" afternoon was held by the Women's Progress Club at the Higher Thought Centre yesterday, when excellent business was carried out at stalls containing cakes, sweets, drapery and flowers. The vice-president, Mrs. T. 11. Pearce, presided. The money obtained from the sale Avill be donated toward the happiness fund ior sick people. Instrumental duets were rendered by Mrs. Probert (banjo) and Mrs. Goldie (guitar), with Mrs. Morten acting as accompanist, and a reading was given by Mrs. Chatwin. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs. Hubbert, Mrs. T. Deverick and Mrs. Green.
