SEARCH FOR HOUSE

FAMILY UNSUCCESSFUL NIGHT SPENT IN TRUCK Searching all day yesterday for a house or flat without success, an Auckland motor driver and his family were still on the road in a truck at 12.30 this morning, with no place to sleep and little prospect of finding one. The family had to move out of the rooms they were occupying early yesterday morning, and. although they conducted a day-long canvass, could find no house or flat which they could rent. Vacant houses were found, but in almost every case the home-seekers were told that they were for sale, and not for renting.
