EARL OF RANFURLY
ENJOYABLE FISHING DEPARTURE FOR ENGLAND , "I have had three weeks of. excellent fishing on the, said the Earl of Ranfurly yesterday before . leaving by the Mariposa for England, via the United States. "The sport is perhaps not so varied as in England, but it has features of its own so attractive that I hope to come again to fish here." It was two years since he had seen England, and though he had enjoyed his period of service as aide-de-camp to the Governor-General of Australia, Lord Gowrie. he was pleased to be going home. The Earl is a grandson of the fifth Earl of Ranfurly, who was Governor of New Zealand from 1897 to 1904.
