WHIPPET RACING
EVENTS AT OTAHUHU The events staged by tho Otahuhu Whippet Racing Club at Princes Street Reserve were well contested and some keen racing was witnessed. The track conditions were fairly good considering the recent heavy growth of pasturage. The results were:— Juvenile Handicap.—Miss Rowling's Duke's Pride, 1; A. CarmichaePs Princess Jewell, 2. 150 Yds Improvers Handicap.—M. Dawson's Royal Chief, 1; G. Baker's Comedienno, 2. 150 Yds Open Handicap.—First heat: A. Taylor's True Blue, 1; S. Sharp's Ace High, 2. Second heat: A. Dawson's Royal Buck. 1; S. Sharp's True Trust, 2. Final: Ace High 1; True Trust, 2. 150 Yds Light-weight Handicap.—Miss Hancox's Cuddle, 1; G. Baker's Comedienne, 2. 150 Yds Hurdles.—S. Sharps Ace High, 1; A. Taylor's True Blue, 2. 150 Yds Second-class Handicap.—First heat: J. Budin's Son o' Mine, 1; A- Dawson's Royal Buck, 2. Second heat: F. Dawson's Royal Chief, 1; S. Sharp's True Trust, 2. Final: Royal Chief, 1; Royal Buck, 2. Consolation Race. —Popular Dick, 1; King Fern, 2.
