INCREASES IN COSTS
TRAMWAY UNIFORMS REPRESENTATIONS TO BOARD Advice that the tenderer for the making of tramway uniforms would have to iucrease his prices wflfe received at a, meeting of the Auckland Transport Board yesterday. Th«) board's agreement with the firm which makes the uniforms expires to-day. It was pointed out to the board that in the past year wages had increased, as had the cost of materials, and it was proposed to ask for 3s more for trousers. 5s 6d more for overcoats and an extra 6s 3d for tunics. The board decided to call i'or fresh tenders.
