HOUSE BURNED
TOTAL LOSS AT PARAWAI [by telegraph —OWN correspondent] THAMES, Monday A six-roomed house owned and occupied by Mr. Walter Onion, at Parawai, near the abattoirs, was: destroyed by fire at one o'clock this afternoon. The fire brigade went to the scene, but there being no water supply could only look on and watch the flames demolish the building. Some of the contents were saved. The insurances are not available. Mr. Onion, the only occupant, was in Thames at the time of the outbreak.
