HARBOUR BRIDGE PLAN

AN ASSOCIATION FORMED ADVANCING THE PROJECT Following recent discussions regarding the formation of an association to advance the Auckland harbour bridge project, a meeting was held last evening in the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. The Mayor of Birkenhead, Mr. E. J. Osborne, presided. It was decided to form an organisation to b<» known as the Wai.temata Harbour Bridge Association, Incorporated. Application for incorporation was completed and is to be lodged immediately. The following officers wero elected: — President, Mr. E. J. Osborne; vicepresident, Mr. G. W. Hutchisonj committee, Messrs. H. Hayward, Earle Vaile, J. Guiniven, J. Littlejohn, J. C. Rennie, the Rt. Hon. J. G. C'oates, Messrs. A. Grayson, B. Moore, C. E. Mcßeth, F. E. Powell, G. Mills, R. Martin, W. B. Darlow, A. Hadfield, S. J. Elliott, J. Macdonald, G. L. Taylor and H. Stebbing, Mrs. W. B. Darlaw, M iss P. Dawson; acting-secretary and treasurer, Mr. R. H. Grevillo.
