CITY COUNCIL LOANS
SHORT-TERM DEBENTURES City Council short term debentures to a total value of £191,000 are being placed on the Auckland market today. Of this total £177.000 represents the balance of the works loan, 193(3, of £377,000, the debentures having a currency of 10 years, while the remainder is tho balance of £14,000 of the municipal transport terminus loan of £39,000, having a currency of 15 years. In each case the interest rate is 3>J per cent. The debentures are being sold over the counter at the City treasury.
