JEWS IN BULGARIA
ANONYMOUS WARNINGS DAMAGE TO SYNAGOGUE NAZI'S HOUSE RAIDED (Received February 3, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 2 The Sofia correspondent of the Daily Telegraph states that, inspired by Rumania's example, anti-Semitism is taking on a serious aspect throughout Bulgaria. All the windows of the Sofia synagogue were smashed and over 150 prominent Jews received anonymous letters warning them to leave the country within a fortnight if they wished to live. The police raided the house of the leader of the Bulgarian Nazis, Professor Kantasi, but no statement has been issued.
