Sandrift, who schooled well on Thursday, is an improver and was second to Tudor at the November meeting. Bryco Street won tho Clarkin- Steeplechase at To Rapa in November and appears to bo the makings of a good jumper. He should race prominently in this class. Adsum is a fairly reliable fencer, but the others lave yet to prove their worth. The ; favourites may bo SANDRIFT, BRYCE STREET, ENGLISHMAN.

Lady Defoe has shown promise and should not fail for lack of condition. Poker Dice has shown a lot of speed on the tracks and Trevace shaped well at the November meeting. Others who should add interest to the contest aro Lapidarian, White Foam, , ,Viracious, Windcress and Mon Acre. « Some who may be in demand are PASTURE, BEVERLEY, TREVACE. Bronzette was second to Miss Te Koura in the same class at the November meeting and her turn is due. Mundane is an improver who opened her winning account in the Waipa Plate last month. Glen Abb failed at Thames and has been disappointing, although there may be hope for him still. High Delight and Chief Lap ran well at Thames, but Maxown and United have no recent form. The consistent Knisht of Australia is fit and can bo expected to make a solid showing. Dark Shadow is nicely placed and a repetition of his form in the Summer Cup would make him very dangerous. Gay Rose and , King Rey, who has been racing unluckily, have recent form to recommend them and both are likely to go well. Grateful, lnver and Star Artist are recent winners, but lnver and Star Artist have yet to prove their worth at a mile and a-quarter. Day Wind has failed in his latest races and Gay Broney has no recent form. Tosh, Trilliareh, Palustre and Marie's Acre all have recent form to their credit and should run good races.
