Fearn) sprinted three furlongs in 39s without being urged. Bryce Street (Fergus) was staying on better than In Command (Wiggins) at tho end of a circuit in 1.45 1-5, tho last three furlongs taking 39 2-ss. It was a satisfactory effort by both jumpers. Tho Trimmer (Tucker) ran six furlongs in 1.17 4-5, tho last three in 39 1-5. He is to have his first race to-day. Privy Seal (Wiggins) was ridden right out to run fivo furlongs in 1.3 3-5. She is an erratic track worker and this was her best effort recently. Stretto (Moore) did strong work over a circuit, coming homo tho last halfmile in 575.

King Rey did solid work on the tan. He bears a well-trained appearance and should give a good account of himself to-day. Another cup candidate to do steady pacing was Gay Rose. She is looking bright and well. There was a prospect at one stage of Riccarton having tw6 candidates for the Sydney Cup, but Cerne Abbas ban had her entry cancelled. Willie Win was nominated for the race this week and he will make the trip if all goes well with him. He is doing only light exercise, but Mrs. J. Campbell hopes to hnvo him running along in more serious work very soon. He will require to make an early start, after being on the easy list for about two months.
