DEATH FROM THE AIR RAIDS BY INSURGENTS VALENCIA AND BARCELONA (Received January 20, 7.15 p.m.) LONDON. Jan. 19 The Algiers correspondent of the British United Press says the local wireless station broadcast a message stated to have been picked up from the British tanker Esturia, saying: "During an intensive air raid on Valencia, 500 children and a large number of adults were killed, and bombs exploded on benzine storage tanks."
A message from Barcelona says an air raid, the worst the city has known, occurred when streets were crowded with women and children.
