BRADDOCK-FARR BOUT
(Received January 19. 0.20 a.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 18 Tho heavy-weight boxer James Braddock to-day sparred six rounds in preparation for his bout against Tommy Farr on Jnnuary 21. llis manager said:—"Braddock's hooking is shorter and sharper, and looks better than for some time. His body and legs are satisfactory and his timing is perfect. I think he will beat Farr easily." . Farr rested all day and will havo his final work-out to-morrow. CARROLL AND ROSS TERMS FOR A CONTEST CHICAGO, Jan. 18 It is announced that Mr. Lucas has received an offer for a boxing bout between Carroll and Ross in Sydney on.April 18 for a purso of 40,000 dollars, plus 5000 dollars for'expenses, wilh a deposit of 20,000, in Chicago immediately. Howover, he is demanding n purso of 45,000 dollars, plus 7000 for expenses. *
