NEW TORPEDO-BOAT

FASTEST IN THE WORLD SECRET CONSTRUCTION LAWRENCE CO-INVENTOR (Received January 17, 7.55 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 17 Thu Sketch says the world's fastest, torpedo-boat is being built in London behind closed doors from "hush hush" plans prepared by Lawrence of Arabia before his death, in association with Mr. Edward Spurr, of Bradford, an engineer, aged 30. Mr. Spurr, in an inteiview, 6aid: "Our secret is the design, not the engine, which will be a high-powered, super-charged aero engine. There is not another similar torpedo-boat in the world. They are all built of wood now but mine will be all metal, of the licrhfc aircraft type of material. "The vessel will carry 100 to 200 men and will be able to be manoeuvred with ease. "A racing car is also being built from designs by Lawrence and myself. This racing craft will challenge the record."
