MATCH AT MELBOURNE VICTORIA MAKES 415 RUNS (Received December 27, 9.30 p.m.) } MELBOURNE. Dec. 27 In the Sheffield Shield match aeainst New South Wales. Yictoria in their first innings made 415 runs (Hassett 81 and Peatson 31). O'Reilly took two wickets for 136, O'Brien two for 88 and White three for 67. / New South Wales in their first innings lost two wickets for 74 (Fingleton, not out 34).

DISPLAY BY BRADMAN CONTEST AT ADELAIDE (Received December 27, 9.30 p.m.) ADELAIDE, Dec. 27 Playing in a Sheffield Shield match against Queensland, South Australia in their first innings lost eight wickets for 429 (Williams 34, Robinson 49. Bradinan 246, Waite, not out 52). Bradman gave the holiday crowd a great exhibition of batting all round the wicket and finally was caught out while trifling with the good bowling of Dixon.

Bradman has now exceeded his 6000 runs in Sheffield Shield cricket.
