Monday A smart rescue effected by the members of the Opotiki Life-Savins: Club yesterday afternoon. when a lady member got into difficulties beyond the breakers. Miss K. .Jephson, accompanied by Miss M. Day. swam out some distance and Miss Jephson got into difficulties in the strong undertow. Miss Day's calls for assistance were heard by th> club's team, which wa-.s resting after practice. With Mr C. Say as beitinan. Miss .Jephson was soon brought ashore in an exhausted condition and suffering from shock
