HALL AUTHORITIES' STEP [from oxtr own correspondent] PTJKEKOHE, Monday Steps to end the objectionable behaviour that arises from drinking at- dances are being .taken by the Buckland Welfare League, which controls the public hall at Buckland, near Pukekohe. It is convening a conference of hall committees to take up the question. An invitation to be represented was received yesterday dv the Franklin County Council, which owns the Patumahoe Hall. Mr/ R. Wilcox mentioned, on receipt of the invitation, that liquor was now being taken round to dances and sold. The council deputed Messrs. W. Somtnerville and A. P. Day to represent it at; the conference.
