SEQUEL TO PARTY
DISORDER IN COFFEE BAR TWO YOUNG MEN FINED [from our own correspondent] / " HAMILTON, Monday Pleas of guilty were entered by two young men, Harold Elles l'oster and Douglas Stephen Young (Mr. Johnson) in the Hamilton Police Court today to charges of behaving in a disorderly manner. Senior-Sergeant G. H. Lambert said the accused entered a coffee bar in Hamilton in the early hours of the morning and ordered a meal. There was some delay in preparing it. The accused became impatient, and when the meal came they turned the contents of the plates on to the floor, and one of them slapped the waitress on the face. The accused had had drink. Their previous characters were excellent. Counsel said the accused had been to a party, where they,had been "wetting a baby's head " Each was fined £1 and costs.
