CAR'S NARROW ESCAPE
COLLISION ON CLIFF ROAD CYCLE PASSENGER INJURED [By TELEGRAPH —rBESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN. Monday A collision between a motor-car and a motor-cycle occurred on tho Dun-edin-Brighton Road yesterday afternoon. The car was driven by Mr. Stanley Charles Gillen and the cycle by Mr. Colin Gray Cook. Mr. Mark Cook, the rider's brother, single, living at Caversbam, who was a passenger on the cycle, suffered a broken right femur and was admitted to the Dunedin Hospital at livo o'clock. The rider of the cycle escaped with abrasions to one leg. No one in the car was hurt, but tho passengers had a remarkable escape from serious injury, as the driver, in an attempt to avoid tho cycle, pulled up within an inch or two of a 100 ft. cliff.
