BELGIUM AND FRANCE HEAVY LOSSES ENTAILED BRUSSELS. Dec. 9 The losses of livestock in Belgium owing to foot and mouth disease- are estimated at £2,000,000. Members of Parliament from agricultural areas are urging the Government to compensate the owners and also to accord financial credits to the worst sufferers. A message from Paris says the disease is raging throughout France. In the bas-Rhine" province alone, 9888 farms and 43,318 cattle are infected. The total losses are stated to be £533,000.
