WAIPA MEETING

: LIST OF ACCEPTORS i, ' , FIELDS FOR NEXT SATURDAY j. ff ■, -r .:■ .v, •■ " ■ --r THIRTEEN IN TE AWAMUTU CUP t,/; ~ / - _ Acceptances for the Waipa "llacing Club's meeting at Te Awamutu next Saturday arc as follows: — v

lIAWKE'S BAY TEAMS AGGREGATE OF FORTY ANALYSIS OF THE FORM ■! ■ % FLAME QUEEN RESERVED [BY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT] / HASTINGS, Friday The last of the 40 Hawke's Bay horses engaged at Woodville on Saturday or Monday left this morning, but all will not return, as some will go on to Auckland and elsewhere for the holiday fixtures, • Of the 18 acceptors for the hurdles, seven are from Hastings, but three lack racing experience in this department. The* one most likely to be supported is Rapa' Waiata, who has been galloping and jumping very well during the last month, but the consistent form of Top Hat is hard to pass over, as his weight of <10.7 should not, worry this gelding, who stands 18 hands high. Cletrab was unlucky at Napier Park when going down by a head to Begorrah, but the latter ran fourth subsequently in a five-horse race at Foildr ing. • - ■ ' , - ■ Nine novices Hawke's Bay on both' days". To-morrow's lot may produce* the 'favourite.- Amoroso is likely to be chosen, as Red Cockade has been a little disappointing in: his last two gallops. Amoroso has racing condition, and in his last effort was second, a head behind Star-had. . On Monday, Flame Queen will start. She has been reserved for tho Novice Stakes.' She has( been gallopingexceptionally well, and, although a maiden, raced well in her -only start in open company. She seems to bo one of,the best of the. Hawke's Bay prospects. Of the handicap horses sent- south, Master Cyklon has been working best. Padishah and Soho have been showing better private work than for some time past. Hunting Cat and Big Dook may be on hand for the second day, as the latter was sent through and afterward will accompany Lord Hereford, Gn.v Son arid Beaupartir to Auckland. Pakanui and Joviality both have been galloping attractively enough to justify the confidence of their respective trainers. Of the representatives of the Bay in the Mangarawa Handicap, Gasman has been acquitting himself the best, but he may find something above average hack class in tho Awapuni three-year-old filly Florence Mills. Reasonable, and Taro may prove the best of tho provincial squad in the Borough Handicap. .Tho former has been galloping brilliantly and won in his last two starts.

Lacquer has been penalised for her Feilding win. She is in great heart and may be up to the weight, 8.10, awarded her in the Whariti Handicap. Tullamore, a poor track worker, appears to be on the eve of another success and she will probably he at good odds.
