EARLY SUMMER HAY
SMALLER DARGAVILLE YIELD [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] DARGAVILLE, Friday The dry weather of the present season is generally expected to result in considerably less hay than usual being available for early summer haymaking. Farnfers in most cases expect, that they will have to rely on their autumn crops for winter feed next year. '' ' - ' ' ' ' Light rain this week has already had a good effect qn grass, consisting almost wholly of paspalum. Late summer or early autumn hay has considerably less feed value than earlier crops, which aro put from English grasses, and the quality is usually impaired by its ready seeding tendencies.
