NEW FIRE STATION

OPENING AT WELLINGTON [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Wednesday The ceremony of officially opening Wellington's new, fire station was performed to r day by the Governor-Gen-eral, Viscount Galway, who was accompanied by Lady Galway. His ' Excellency opened tho itiaitr, doors of the station with a gold key surmounted by a fireman's helmet and two crossed axes in miniature, which had been presented bv the architects, Messrs. Mitchell, and Mitchell. The proceedings included an address by Lord Galway, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W, E, Parry, and tbe Minister of Education, theHon. P. Eraser, who is member for the "district. A display was also givan by the'brigade.
