Mr. F. W. Scifcrt, Morrinsviille, said one farmer who wanted to borrow £SOO from the State Advances Corporation for reconditioning his house had met with a flat refusal, although thero were no complications. The money, he said, seemed to be made available in the towns, but farmers were meeting difficulties. This state of affairs, he thought, was very unsatisfactory, and the Government's attention should be drawn to it.
