SOCIAL AT FRANKTON

PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES The annual social and dance the Hamilton Wanderers' Association Football Club was held in the Masonic Hall, Frankton, last* week. The club chairman, Mr. G. McKinlay, and Mrs. AlcKinlay were host and hostess. An excellent musical programme, comprising songs by Mrs. H. Ij. lakle, Aliss L. Bull, Mr. A. Trott and Mr. H. Gough, sen., and instrumental items by Mr. W. A. King, Mr. H. Elvcy, Mr. T. Gardiner and Mr. H. Cross, occupied the earlier portion of the evening. Mr. J A. Emerson also contributed accordeon solos and led community singing of popular choruses. Mr. H. L. lakle was the accompanist. Mrs. J. Baillie, wife of the president, presented the medals donated by the South Auckland Football Association to the individual members of the club's senior team, and opportunity was also taken by representatives of the association" to present to Mr. J. Stewart, captain of the Wanderers' senior team, the Howden Shield and Ansell Cup won by his team during the past season.' These trophies, together with the Howdan Cup, also won by the club, were placed upon a decorated dais and attracted considerable attention.

Following upon the community singing led by Mr. J. Emerson, dancing v.as enjoyed.
