LOWER GRADE SOCCER

COLLEGE TEAM'S SUCCESS

The Soccer game in the lower grades has shown improvement since the visit of the Englishmen. The achievement of the Training College A team in winning both the third division championship and knock-out competitions without a loss is commendable. This is only the second year that the college has played the code and there are several promising players who have had the advantage of junior representative experience The even nature of competition in the junior grades has been exemplified by the number of replays which have been necessary, both in the championships and the knock-outs. Grtsy Lynn United won the third intermediate grade in its first year of entry and this success should prompt the club to field more teams next season. Y.M.0.A., with its large number of young players, has carried off sovoral of the lower grade championships and should have little difficulty in retaining the Ritchie 'Cup for the most points in all the competitions. In the primary schools' competitions, Grafton has been the most successful.
