INTER-CLUB GOLF
SUCCESS OF TITIRANGI In the final of tho senior inter-club golf competition tljero was little difference between Titirangi and Akarana in tho singles but the home sido won all the four-ball matches. It was rather remarkable that the three . leading pairs, J. H. Young and P. G. F. Smith, J. Galloway and D. Ooyle fed W, J. Davidge and J. Swamson were unable to reach a decision in the singles. ' Tho defeat of 11. R. MoCryntal and A. Jlarvey by G. Coltinan and A. A. Young respectively on tho 14th green in each ease was not expected but F. W. Lucas, H. L. Hobson and L. «J. Clifford all won their matches for Titirangi by substantial margins. A splendid round of 72 by Young .enabled ho and his partner, Galloway, to win their four-ball match easily and ,the rest of tlio Titirangi pairs combined well.
