DIOCESAN HIGH SCHOOL
INCREASE IN ROLL NUMBER A substantial increase in the roll number of the Diocesan High School for Girls, Epsom, was recorded in the report of the Diocesan High Schools' Council, which was placed before the Anglican Synod yesterday. The present roll number was 263, compared with 231 at the same time last year, it was stated. Boarders totalled 49 this year, as against 29 in 1936, The increased numbers had necessitated an increase of both the teaching and the house staffs. The school bad again been very successful in the matriculation examinations, having obtained 10 passes.
