DARGAVILLE NEWS
RESIDENTS FAREWELLED An enjoyable time was spent in the Municipal Hall, Dargaville, last week when a farewell was tendered to Mr. and Mrs. T. Jaksich, who, after residing for many years in Dargaville, will leave shortly to take up residence in Auckland. Mrs. M. Marinkovich and Mrs. F. Drapulick were responsible for the arrangement of the function. The presentation of an oak clock and a flower vase to Mrs. Jaksich and a gold-mounted fountain pen to Mr. Jaksich, was made by Mr. Frank Nola, president of the Yugoslav Club. Mr. Nola referred to the high esteem in which Mr. and Mrs. Jaksich were held by both the Yugoslav and British residents in Dargaville. The Yugoslav Consul. Mr. John Totich, also spoke. The Yugoslav Benevolent Society tamburica orchestra was in attendance and rendered enjoyable selections.
