WOMAN'S £222,488 ESTATE TWO INSTITUTIONS BENEFIT [by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION'] J ASHBURTOX, Monday Tho Ashburton and North Canter* bury Hospital Boards will each benefit to the extent of £48,147 under the will ■ of the late Miss Jane Chalmers. In a letter to the Ashburton Board, the trustees stated that the estate was sworn at £222.488. Death duties amounted to £62,497, and legacies to £62,500, leaving, after expenses, a residue of £96,295, including two endowments of £IO.OOO each, to ba divided between the two boards. The previous estimate was £30,000 each.
