SIXTH ANNUAL BALL
ADVANX TYRE COMPANY ATTRACTIVE DECORATIONS Blue and gold, tho colours of the Aclvanx Ty-110-Pair Company (N.Z.), Limited, were prominently featured in tho decorative scheme at tho Peter Pan Cabaret last night when tho firm's sixth annual hall was held there. Over 600 guests were present, including representatives from other tyro companies, and everything had been done by tho committee to make the function a successful one. Blue and gold streamers wore suspended round the outer edge of tho ceiling in graceful loops, while othei's covered the lights and others again were suspended over the cubicles in canopy effect.
Clusters of gaily-coloured balloons were hung overhead, while novelties of all descriptions were distributed to tho guests, throughout tho evening. Appropriate features of the decorations were the huge tyres flanking each pillar, the inner circles biSing placarded with humourous coloured cartoons. On arrival the guests were received by the host and hostess, Mr. and Mrs. V. J. Stewart, the latter wearing a frock of geranium pink georgette with a hem of ruched taffetas.

Ingall, flame coin-spotted taffetas; Mrs. G. Proctor, pervenche blue cloquo; Mrs. D. Proctor, black satin beaute; Mrs. E. Stokoe, navy and white check faille; Mrs. M. Coggan, salmon pink cloque; Mrs. A. Braden, oyster and black satin; Mrs. F. Mayes, Egyptian-white lace; Mrs. F. Varian, white panne velvet; Mrs. J. Pearce, mauvo taffetas; Mrs. J. E. May, green taffetas and floral net: Mrs. J. Prenter, black cloque; Mrs. S. Ryan, black georgette; Mrs. W. Crawford, willow green metalasse. Miss Iris Hemmingsen wore apple greon stiffened laco; Miss Bernice Crowder, Margaret Rose taffetas; Miss Anno Gourley, palm green floral taffetas; Miss C. Davies, cameo-pink net; Miss Eileen Mayes, white lace; Miss Gwen Boyd, gold sequinned satin; Miss Phyllis Broad, wedgwood blue lace; Miss Bessie Kinchard, pale blue taffetas; Miss Jocelyn Keller, Coronation blue satin beaute; Miss Jean_ Brown, black velvet and diamante; Miss Grace Brown, mauvo cloque; Miss P. Parker, pervenche blue angelskin lace; Miss D. Kettlewell, black cire satin; Miss W. Desenna, turquoise satin; Miss V. Kettlewell, black and crimson satin; Miss Betty Fieldsend. black ring velvet; Miss Rubv Gibson, cherry taffetas; Miss Phyllis fhomas, phlox pink georgette; Miss L. Goldsmith, mauve and silver crepe; Miss Edith Jones, black crepe embroidered with gold sequins; Miss Phyllis Webb, white floral georgette; Miss D. bluo lace; Miss G. Baulf, black net over white floral cloque; Miss D. Morgan, burgundy floral satin; Miss M. Johnson, black sand crepe.
