WILLIAMS—SLOWMAN [by telegraph —OWN correspondent! "WELLINGTON, Wednesday A very quiet wedding, celebrated this afternoon at St. Paul's -Pro-Cathedral, was that of Ellen Dinah, eldest' daughter of Mrs. W. F. Sloman, of Wellington, and the late Mr. Sloman, and Paul Henry Metcalfe, third son of Dr. and Mrs. J, Williams, of Gisborne. The ceremony was performed by tho Rev. Gordon McKenzie.

The bride, who entered the church with Mr. A. K. S. McKenzie, an old friend of the family, wore a graceful frock of ivory flat crepe, simply made on classical linea. The skirt, which was fully flared, formed a slight train and the bodice was finished with inverted tucking from tho shoulders and across the front. Tho sleeves, tight-fitting at the wrist, wore shirred at the shoulder and fastened'with a row of small selfcovered buttons from the wrist to tho elbow. A plaited halo of self-material was worn 011 her head and she carried a sheaf bouquet of pink camellias. Mr. Pat Williams, of Hawke's Bay, was best man. After the ceremony, a reception was held at tho residonce of Miss Somerville, aunt of the bride, in Glenmore Street. Mrs. Sloman, assisted by Mrs. Williams, received the guests, who included only relatives and intimate friends. The bride's mother wore a frock of light navy flat crepe with a self spot, and a short coat to match. Her navy straw hat was trimmed with a veil and a cluster of cyclamen-toned flowers. She carried a bouquet of cyclamen and maidenhair fern. Tho bridegroom's mother wore a frock of black silk crepo with a looso bolero, the front and collar of which were relieved with white. She also wore a large black picture hat and carried a bouquet of orchids.
