CONFERENCE AT DARGAVILLE [BY TELEGKArn —OWN COKRESIWJnEM'"] DARGAVILLE, Tuesday Representatives 01 the Railway and Public Works Departments met in Dargaville to-day to discuss plans for the completion of the railway connection between Tangowahine and Dargavillo. No announcement was made when the meeting concluded this afternoon. The following Railway Department officials were present:—Mr. G. J. Bertinshaw, chief engineer; Mr. G. T. Wilson, transportation superintendent; Mr. P. R. Angus, locomotive superintendent; Mr. L. W. Robertson, locomotive engineer; Mr. H. C. Couch, district engineer; and Mr. R. P. Gillies, assistant chief accountant. Mr. R. H. Packwood, engineer for tho Public Works Department, at Whangarei; Mr. F. A. Jones, the Mayor of Pargavillfi; and Mr. H. H. Tonkin, president of the Dargaville Chamber of Commerce were also present.
