AVONDALE WOMEN'S CLUB

The Avondalo Women's Club held its monthlv meeting on Tuesday afternoon, Airs. Thorn presiding. The delegates to tho National Council of Women, Mrs, Ridgen and Miss Ingram, gave interesting reports, which will be considered at a special meeting. Miss Brown and her assistant from tho Auckland Gas Company gave a demonstration of cooking and Miss Brown was presented with a bouquet in the club's colours. Afternoon tea brought a pleasant meeting to a close.
