[t'KOil OUlt OWN CORHF.SPONDKNT] HAMILTON, Monday So thoroughly were tho preliminary piles of tho Fairfield Bridge driven into the Waikato River bed that men now engaged on drawing them out, although assisted by a steam crane, are finding the task a long one. They have already been working sinco April, and although dozens of piles are lying along tho river path there are still several in the river. These are being removed at the rato of about three a day, but as some of them are set in concrete it tnkes time to shift them. All these piles will have to be removed before the bridge appears .to the best advantage,
