MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS

The Hon. P. C. Webb, acting-Minis* ter of Labour and Minister of Mines, arrived in Auckland yesterday and during the morning addressed a conference of local body representatives oil the Government's proposals for providing work for the unemployed. The Minister will be engaged to-dav on business arising from the conference and will also receive several deputations. He is accompanied by Mr. W. Bromley of the Labour Department, and Mr. R. 10. Kemp, private secretary. They are at the Station Hotel and propose to leave Auckland for Hamilton and the East Coast on Thursday. The Hon. P. Frascr, acting-Prime Minister, will leave Wellington for Christchurcli by the inter-island express steamer to-night. Mr. Fraser, who will ho engaged in Christchurcli on business concerning education, will return to Wellington on Thursday. The Hon. W. E. Parry, Minister of Internal Affairs, will leave Wellington for Hastings by the Napier express this morning on business connected with the departments under his control. Later he will proceed to Turangi and Tokaanu to discuss with officers of the Department of Internal Affairs questions in connection with fisheries. The Minister will return to Wellington at the end of the week.
