CARAVAN CAMPS HOUSE AMERICA'S HOMELESS
Local body authorities in America are getting quite concerned about the enormous growth in motor caravanning, which may bo expected to achieve an unprecedented boom during the coming months. All sorts of regulations aro being drawn up, especially with regard to caravan camps. It has boon suggested that the popularity of caravans is due to tho economic situation in which thousands of families find themselves unable to meet the high costs of owning or renting a house. Many have taken to tho super trailer-caravans which aro now available, in which owners havo a house without rent or rates, and thousands of families aro now living permanently in their caravans. Ono model on the market can bo opened out into a thing tho size of a normal bungalow and is designed as a Bemi-permanent building to be parked on a concrete foundation.
