COURT MAID MARIAN
ANNIVERSARY DANCE Tho 43rd. anniversary of Court Maid Marian, Auckland ladies' branch of the Ancient Order of Foresters, was recentjy celebrated with a social and dance in the Druid's Hall, Newton. Multi-coloured streamers with bowls of golden lilies and camellias made effective and gay decoration in tho ballroom, while spring flowers, ferns and streamers in red and green, adorned the tables in the supper room. Brother N.G. Swanson, District Subchief Ranger, represented tho district executive council and district secretary, Sister R. Darlow, also a P.C.R., of Court Maid Marian, attended, wearing a gown of lovely-colourcd Chantilly laco with black fur wrap. Tho majority df, tho courts in tho Auckland City and suburbs were well represented, and with tho visitors present, a largo attendance was accommodated. In pharge of arrangements was tho Chief Ranger* Sister C. Dunstar, who wore a frock of cedar brown taffetas hand embroidered with gold and silver. Tho committee in attendance com-prised:-^.C.R., Sister N. Gavin, in delphinium blue tunic suit; secretary, Sister L. S. GarratJb, wearing black laco; assistant-secretary, Sister A. Gamble, red taffetas: S.W. Sister H. Bryant; midnight bluo satin; J.W., Sister F. Hewitt, old gold satin; J. 8., Sister Williams, daffodil crepe marocain; P.C.R., Sister Spalding, .black crepe, cyclamen velvet wrap; P.C.R., Sister Cathey, inoiro "and black tunic suit; P.C.R., Sister Haining, pale pink suede; Sister Rhodes, black lace; P.C.R., Sister Broadbcnt, primrose lace.
