LICENSING OFFENCES
TWO HOTELKEEPERS FINED [by telegbaph OWN cobrespondent] TAUPO, Friday Fines and costs totalling £8 6s 6d were imposed on the licensee of the Tokaanu Hotel, John Asher, who was convicted before Mr. J. Miller, S.M., to-day, on three charges of supplying liquor to persons under the age of 21 years. His barman, Archibald McMillan, was fined, including costs, £lO 16s, on charges of supplying native youths under 21 with liquor for consumption in a proclaimed area. The licensee of the Rangitaiki Hotel, John Fitzpatrick, was fined £1 and his barman, Richard John Alexander, fined £3 for selling liquor after hours. A Maori, Upara Manitoto, was convicted and fiued £l2 on a charge of shooting native pigeons and tuis.
