TRAINS IN NORTH

SPEED RESTRICTIONS Numerous speed restrictions are still in force over the greater portion of the railway line' to Opua which was extensively damaged by the recent, floods, and trains are still running behind schedule. Intermittent rain lias prevented the track from consolidating as quickly as it would have done had the weather been fine and it will probably be several days before it improves sufficiently for the restrictions to bo lifted. Apart from a large number of local restrictions, there is a general speed restriction of 30 miles an hour in force north of Helensville.
