PROPOSED RAILWAY LINK [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN* CORRESPONDENT] PAEROA, Friday Tlio proposed Paeroa-Pokeno railway link was again before the Pae.roa Borough Council last evening. Mr. J. Thorn, M.P. for Thames, forwarded a letter from the Minister of Railways, the Hou. D. G. Sullivan, accepting the invitation of the Mayor, Mr. W. Maty shall, to visit the district. The' Minister added that he could, not say when his' visit would take place, but lie would bear-it in mind when next in the vicinity. ' : Support for the proposal came from the Pukekohe Chamber of Commerce.' The chamber was prepared: to help in any further representations that might' be made from time to time. The Mayor suggested that the chamber should enlist the support of the member for the district.
