ANNUAL CONTEST HELD r 11 - TECHNICAL CLUB'S EVENT SPLENDID WIN FOR P. S. BEST The Technical Harrier Club conducted its annual club race from tho Y.M.C.A. to Mission Hay on Saturday. An excellent performance was registered by P. S. Jiest, who ran splendidly to socure both first and fastest time honours. Results were as follows: — Handicap Race.—P. S. Best (lm), 1; A. G. Bradley (lm 15s), 2; J. Nicholson (10s), Fastest Times. —P. S. Best (25m 255), 1; J. Nicholson ('-!sm 275), A. G. Bradley (25m 555), 3. At the conclusion of tho race. Mr. L. R. McDonald. vice-president, presented tho trophies donated by Messrs. N. Bricrly, A. Moon, and T. M. Wilson. INTER-CLUB CONTEST Tho eighth annual inter-club contest between the Hamilton and Calliope Harrier Clubs resultod in a win for Hamilton by 'ill points. From the start Ambler and Clapham ied the field at a fast pace. Ambler increased his lead to finish well ahead of Clow and Gardiner. Tho remaining places wore evenly distributed between the two teams, with tho latter places in Hamilton's favour. Results were as follows: Total Points. —Hamilton, 217; Calliopo, 218. Individual Times.—Ambler, 38m .48, 1; Clow (Calliope), 18m 475, 2; It. Gardiner (Hamilton), 18m 50s, 3. PAPATOETOE CLUB A sealed handicap race over a six-and-a-qunrler miles course was held by the Papatoetoe Harrier Club. Results were as follows:—J. Lowe, 1; A. Potter, 2; N. Sly, a. Fastest times: C. Littler, 1; R. French, 2; D. Porter and A. Littler, dead-heat, 3. ! UNIVERSITY CLUB Thirty members of tho University Harrier Club followed a seven miles' trail starting from the Mount Albert Grammar School and following through the Mount Albert and Mount Roskill districts. Results wore as follows: —E. Stephenson, 1; E. H. D'athWeston, 2; H. B. Maxwell, 3. COMBINED RUN HELD Members of tho Baptist Harrier Club were the guests of the Wesley harriers in a run from Mount Eden Methodist Church. Sixty runners took part, and were divided int,o four packs. Results were ns follows: Junior Pack.—P. Webster (B), 1; R. Griffiths (W), 2; N. Green (W), 3. Slow PaeK.—W. Fouudtain (B), 1; W. Knight (W), 2; R. Marson (D), 3. Intermediate Pack.—B. Verry (W). 1; J. Spooner (W), 2: G. W. Ferguson (B), 3. Fast Pack.—J. Hare (B), 1; P. Kendon (B). 2; S. Edgar (B), 3. PRESBYTERIAN CLUB An excellent, muster of 45 runners took part in the Presbyterian Harrier Club's events. A time-trial over S 3 A miles was held by the fast and racing pack members.
