DAVIS CUP CONTEST
AUSTRALIAN PLAYERS QUIST'S INDISPOSITION (Received May 28. 5.5 p.m.) FOREST HILLS, May 27 In connectibn with the illness of A. K. Quist, of the Australian Davis Cup team, his doctor states that Quist had been improving sitlce early in the week when at one time he had a temperature of 103 degrees, If he had accepted the doctor's advice not to practise on Monday he would probably have been well to-day. A blood test is to be taken and it will be known to-morrow whether Quist can play on Saturday in the match against America. It is understood that he will be nominated for the singles draw with the proviso that if the doctor certifies against his playing McGrath will bo substituted for him.
It is believed that an extra day's rest would enable Quist to play in the doubles.
