GOVERNOR OF FORMOSA [fkoji ouk own correspondent] SINGAPORE, May lpW Japan's interest in the "South Seats" of Asia is indicated by the announcement that the Governor-General of Formosa, Admiral Seizo Kobayashi. will in July begin a two months' tour of the Philippines, Hong Kong. Malaya and the Dutch East Indies. His main task, it is understood, will be to reassure those countries concerning Japan's policy of southward expansion.
