appreciation of work A farewell social was tendered to the Rev. J. A. Thomson, who is going to Invercargill, by the combined young rnon's and young women's Presbyterian Bible classes in St. Andrew's Hall on Saturday night, when there was a largo gathering. Mr. A. Sutherland, chairman of the young men's district committee, spoke of the value of Mr. Thomson's work for the Bible classes during the past 11 years and of how much the movement owed to h'lll- - that period Mr. Thonison had served as Dominion vice-president and a s Dominion nresident, and he had n °t missed a -single' Easter camp. On behalf "of the Young Women s »jble Class Union. Mrs. D. Spent*, district president, presented Mr. Thomson with a framed picture of the || 'inna camp and with book rests, "f. J. . Neil, on behalf of the Huhua permanent camp site committee, read ® resolution of appreciation of Mr. Thomson's work for the camp. J-be R'fts were suitably acknowledged by for. Thomson.
