PAKURANGA HUNT
MEET AT DRURY SUCCESSFUL DAY'S SPORT The Pakuranga Hunt met at Drury yesterday, morning tea being provided before the hunt moved off to Miss McPhersons' property. The hunt worked through to Mr. Flanagan's farm, where a hare was put up but was killed before it got away. A move wsfe then made to Mr. L. Dunn's property, where a good strong hare was put up. It took the field at a fast pace across the fiat to Mr. F. Field's, then to Mr. S. Ballard's, where it crossed the creek and circled back to Mr. Dunn's, where a kill was made. Another strong hare was put up on Mr. E. Field's property and it went away across Mr. S. Ballard's to Mr. Douglas'. Then it struck across the road to Mr. Leach's property, where the scent was lost. The hunt then went 011 to Mr. H. Hamilton's, where another hare took the field at a smart pace over to Mr. Riekard's, circling round to Mr. F. Heard's, and then back to Mr. Hamilton's. Another good run followed when a hare was put up on Mr. J. Appleby's property and went across to Mr. A. Fielding's to Mr. F. Appleby's and back to Mr. Heard's. Here the order was given for home. Afternoon tea was later served and the Drury ladies responsible were thanked by Commander D. A. Bingiev. Among those present' were: —The deputy-master, Commander D. A.
